As a Special Purpose school, we are trained and prepared to work with a variety of
disabilities and educational concerns. Our on site Special Education teacher is available to work with learning disabilities, behavior disorders, ADD, ADHD, as well as other issues. Students that have mental health needs are able to access the services they need such as counseling and individual therapy.
Elective courses are also a large part of our academic program, and each student has a minimum of 1 elective course per term with the option of adding 2 or 3 as time allows. Our unique and breathtaking location make the outdoor electives especially appealing as students can experience hiking, experiential science, geology, and a number of other experiences that will get them in touch with nature, and the world around them. We believe that students need to learn to interact with the world around them in a healthy, positive way, and be given the opportunity to learn about a variety of careers and vocational paths.
