Equine Assisted Psychotherapy is an incredibly powerful tool that can bring out old beliefs that have presented barriers in your teen's recovery. Your teen will develop an empowering tool to discovering trust of self and others. Communication is an essential tool, and the non-verbal communications with the teen and horse provide another treatment approach to help your teen in her recovery. The horse presents as a massive living, breathing creature that can bring out fears and many feelings. Courage to confront those fears can bring about personal victories to begin believing in one's self and abilities.

Equine therapy is a unique program where residents are challenged to adjust their own behaviors in order to modify ineffective coping skills. Students can expect to experience challenging activities that are designed to promote trust, communication, teamwork and self-confidence.

empowerment and increased self-esteem builds your teens confidence.

Equine therapy provides a diverse range of opportunities designed with a specific objective and underlying theme. Students need not have experience with horses. Each session is unique because of group dynamics with horse/human characteristics.
