The student receives no less than :
3 hr Individual Therapy
1 hr Family Therapy
12 hr Group Therapy
Each month
If parents would like more family or individual therapy, this can be accommodated upon request
Each student’s program is customized to the need of the student. This is first done with clinical interviews and extensive testing by a clinical psychologist and our therapists. Any information that a parent is willing to give us in this process is most helpful.
• Behavioral Disorders i.e. Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) and Conduct Disorder etc.
• Mood Disorders i.e. Depression, Bipolar, Attachment issues, etc.
• Addiction Disorders i.e. Drugs, Alcohol, Eating, Cutting, etc.
• Anger Management
• Family Reunification
• Abuse Issues i.e. Rape, Molestation, Physical altercations.
The techniques used by our therapists to accomplish this include the following methods:
Group therapy 3 to 5 hours a week. These are clinical groups that are done by licensed practitioners.

Our therapists specialize in adolescent and family issues.

At Cedar Breaks Academy our licensed therapists use individual, group and family therapy to accomplish the goals of the program.
With this information we are able to design a treatment plan that is most effective for each student.

Each student receives no less than 3 hours of individual therapy and 1 hour of family therapy every month.
Life Skills Groups are 2 to 4 hours a week. These are therapist-directed groups that are taught by educated and trained staff. The types of groups used are as follows but, not limited to: life planning, how to budget, basic finances, proper nutrition, goal setting, decision making, career planning, etc.
With these techniques, we are able to help each student learn the coping skills and self control needed to manage their personal interactions with authority figures as well as peers.
